My name is Dylan Smith. I’m a Dutch-English bilingual presentation/speech trainer and the creator of the FRAME system. Whether it’s formulating, writing, or giving a presentation, my practical and repeatable approach will guide you through any fear and help you deliver impactful presentations – no confidence needed!
For those residing in Amsterdam and London, I give regular courses in and around both cities. From virtual classes to tailored executive one-on-one training sessions, my sole mission is to enable people to become expert speakers and communicators.

With 20+ years of experience and 9 years of formal training at institutions like The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and other world-leading performing arts academies, Dylan Smith is an expert in how to prepare, perform, and communicate value to any audience. Through 5 years of rigorous research and experimentation, Dylan created the FRAME system, a powerful tool that makes you a master of preparation and an expert at speaking.
HOw are WE DifferenT
People who want to, or need to, become better speakers tend to fall into a common trap, where they’re focusing on the wrong priorities. Priorities that are mainly driven by fears that often sound like:I’m not confident enough to speak in front of an audience.
I don’t see myself as a leader.
I’m not charismatic enough.
And so, when they seek out help and go online to find a course, they’re told by company X, school of public speaking X, or life coach X that they will solve these problems by: boosting your confidence and ridding you of your anxiety; teaching you how to find your inner leader and how to become charismatic. And in doing so, they’re concentrating on the end result of what makes a good speaker. They focus on the part that is most elusive, the part that is hardest to practice: confidence, charisma, and leadership. In my experience, these parts are by-products of structured working and/or the necessity of sharing something that you’re passionate about.
My focus is aimed at making you a master of preparation, offering you practical tools that, combined with structured working and practice, will give you the foundation to become a better speaker. Why? Because I think focusing on preparation is the key to enjoyment and ease, to the point that you will want to get up in front of your audience and share what you’ve been working on.
It all started out for the love of stories—from my first presentation on body language, when I was 16 years old, to working as an actor with Oscar-winning directors on the international stage—if I wasn’t creating stories, I was looking for them. I have always had this deep interest in why we do the things we do as humans. That, coupled with a hunger and interest for how we can reach our potential—having developed the skillset that I have—it was inevitable that I would end up creating a system that would empower people to deliver a class-A performance when it would be most needed.
How did we get here
My first ever speech
My first ever memory of speaking in public goes all the way back to when I was eight. Although I was brought up in The Netherlands, our family would spend every summer holiday in Cornwall with my grandparents. And it must’ve been in the summer of ’96 that my grandfather told me about how a complete panzer battalion surrendered to him at the end of WWII. To my eight-year-old mind, it felt like the Führer himself had handed over the reins to my gramps, which is exactly what I told the entire class when asked to share my summer holiday story. They were all amazed by the story, to the extent that eight-year-olds can fully grasp the events of WWII and what significant role my grandfather had in bringing the dictator to his knees. All, of course, but my teacher, who laughed endearingly at me."
